Seventh Heaven is owned by Tifa Lockhart and is popular among the working class. The bar sells both homemade food and a variety of drinks as well. A little-known secret is that the pinball machine can be used to access a secret basement that is used by the extremist group AVALANCHE.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Seventh Heaven is updated in the Remake but is largely unchanged. While it still exists, we never get access to the secret basement so I assume it's also just an updated version of the original. However, this time, we do have access to a jukebox and a dartboard. The scorecard above lists the current record holders though the player has to earn Cloud's spot on the board.

As you can see, Tifa desperately needs some new music for the bar.

Menu

Stolen and edited from the wiki: Seventh Heaven served food and drink, and opened at 11 AM. Lunchtime ran from 11 to 2PM, with a rotating special for each day of the week. 2 to 5PM was teatime, serving coffee and tea, hot or cold, and two varieties of juice. 5 PM to midnight was evening hours, and when the bar served alcohol and finger foods.

The bar serves food and drink, cooked and prepared by Tifa, which made the bar famous around the slums for its quality. She mostly sells Western food as soon by signs advertising eggs & chips and pizza.

Tifa also served cocktails at the bar, two of which she served to Cloud. One was the popular "Seventh Heaven", a yellow drink that "packs a serious punch and gives you the courage to keep going". Another was the red cocktail "Cosmo Canyon", the house special, inspired by the location of the same name. Other drinks on the menu included a green cocktail called "Lifestream". When preparing drinks, she performed tricks with the shaker.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children

After the events of the game, Tifa rebuilds 7th Heaven (now in numbered form). This time, it serves as a bar with living quarters on the second floor. We see both Cloud's room and the children's room — I'm sure you can guess which is which. Unfortunately, we never see Tifa's room. She seems to have garnered a love for pictures with a preference for photos focused on locations.

Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Remake Summary

Tifa serves as the resident monk in the Final Fantasy VII series. How these abilities manifest depend on the timeline so I'll break them down further below.

Final Fantasy VII

Due to Playstation limits, the characters are largely differentiated based on limit breaks. As with all versions, her main strength is speed. She hits fast and while she doesn't hit as hard as Barrett or Cloud, her strength is high enough to be classified as a physical attacker while her speed is above most. However, her defense and magic are lackluster but not the worst.

In the world of FF, Limit Breaks increase by taking damage and it carries over from battle to battle. Since rp will have no bar, I translate this as a combination of frustration and the desire to push through even in the face of adversity. In anime or a LA movie, a Limit Break is the moment where it seems like the hero will lose, only for them to unleash their ultimate power.

Limit Breaks

Tifa's limit breaks start as a single attack but as she learns new limits, they will be added until her limit is a chain attack. The usual way to learn the new Limit Breaks is to experience using the others. The order is as follows:

Beat Rush - Starting limit; Somersault - use Beat Rush 8 times; Waterkick - Tifa kills 80 enemies; Meteodrive - use Waterkick 8 times; Dolphina Blow - Tifa must kill an additional 80 enemies; Meteor Strike - use Dolphin Blow 8 times; Final Heaven - all other limit breaks must be obtained; hidden item.

Final Heaven is the only Limit Break that can't be obtained early on as there are storyline triggers required.

Weapons

Though Tifa primarily uses her hands and fists to fight, she also gets Gloves or Knuckles to help increase her attack power. Since this likely won't be an important part of her character, I'll link this wonderful guide from Jegged.com.

Materia

In lieu of magic, FFVII has material which can best be described as orbs of magic that must be equipped to weapons in order to grant the weapon holder the ability to cast magic. Tifa doesn't start with Materia, and it isn't mentioned in her novel so prior to canon, I'll assume she has none.

Materia can be broken down into five categories: Magic (green material), Summon (red), Support (blue), Command (yellow), and Independent (purple). Magic and Summon are self-explanatory though there is a slight change from how higher-level magics are earned. Equipped materia earns AP as the party wins battles and when it receives enough AP, it levels up. For example, Ice that earns enough AP becomes Ice2. While in theory, this means the party can have high-level magic early in the game but can't find level 2 and 3 magic in the wild, it's possible to sell leveled-up materia. While the game doesn't allow you to buy it, I'm sure it's technically possible, also in theory; Support is meant to work in conjunction with the other materia (for example, Counter, which counterattacks with the linked materia). Unlike other materia, these must be in a linked materia slot with the supported magic as opposed to the individual slots. This is only important in rp since materia slots vary from weapon to weapon so certain combinations can't be used until a canon point in which these weapons have been found. Command materia adds new command in combat (Steal, for example). Independent materia, such as stat-boost materia, works just as the name implies: independently.

Final Fantasy Advent Children

In the follow-up movie, a few years have passed. During the events of the story, Tifa is pitted against Loz, one of three Remnants of Sephiroth. While not as strong as Sephiroth himself, all three remnants are exceptionally skilled in at least one area with Loz representing physical strength. The clip speaks for itself, but we see Tifa display impressive strength, speed, and a bit of her skill in the martial arts. The fight can be found below.

As you can see, Tifa's defense being lower than some other party members doesn't translate to her being weak. She's able to withstand his blows well, even when being dragged through the pews, and only falls when his strength and weapon come together to deal a particularly devastating blow.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

This is when Tifa's abilities get the chance to shine. Finally, the characters are personalized and their weaknesses and strength are on full display.

While I'll be going into some detail, I'll be referencing two videos by bltzZ who manages an impressive amount of detail and skill when unlocking Tifa's abilities. The first is her basic combat guide which serves as his initial impression. The second is the advanced combat guide. I'll be using the second guide for reference.

First, the things that didn't change. Tifa is still meant for fast damage. Her speed and physical strength are still very high with her defense suffering as a trade-off. Materia (a full list and explanation can be found here) is still used in the same way. However, it's important to note that while anyone can use it, Tifa starts out with the Chakra materia. This materia has the ability to heal damage based on how much damage has been taken and can even debuff Poison.

Next, the differences. Firstly, while the gloves are still front and center, they can now be leveled up and each new weapon offers a different ability.

Weapons

Tifa's weapon of choice continues to be gloves, and a full list can be found here. In addition to each glove having multiple Cores that can be upgraded to provide enhancements, each has an ability that can be learned permanently if used enough. The weapons and abilities are listed below:

Aside from the obvious difference in weapons, such as stats, the Cores allow for a shift in focus for her style. For example, some gloves have Cores that emphasize magic while others emphasize physical strength and speed. Since I believe Tifa's training focused more on physical attacks, I'll assume a build with that focus.

Fighting Style

As mentioned, unlike the original, the characters are all quite unique. Tifa is the glass cannon, someone who hits hard and hits quickly but with a lower-than-average defense and without the best HP. Also unlike the original, each has a combination of different moves that are possible outside of their Limit Break. The video (here) will do a better job at showing the small details without getting confusing. Instead, I'll point out one important move: Unbridled Strength. This move can roughly be thought of as concentration in that by using this ability, up to 2 times, Tifa gains the ability to add more attacks to her combos and can even gain access to new abilities.

Limit Breaks

While the original game was released as a whole, FFVIIR will be released in multiple parts. As such, not only have the characters not reached their full potential, they've not gained all of their limits breaks. For Tifa, these are:

Summary

Like any JRPG, her stats can vary based on the build but to sum it up, Tifa is a very talented fighter with abilities that surpass that of a normal human. For fight scenes, I'll choose her medium power level but can adjust toward weaker or stronger levels of her build based on need.

About: I play Tifa is bisexual with a very strong leaning toward men and no previous attraction to women. In spite of what others may assume due to her looks and strength, Tifa is submissive in bed but will always be an active participant. While she'll lean toward vanilla kinks, she'll also try a degree of other kinks with a trusted partner, and it's likely she'll also wear sexy outfits as well. Tifa isn't someone who does one-night stands so either darker themes, canonmates, or assumed CR will be required. Tifa isn't very experienced in sex but has very good control of her body and very impressive stamina.

I enjoy dark themes, but I also enjoy the consequences of these themes. While Stockholm and other similar scenes are fun to play, I won't play rape=love or as something that can be brushed off.

Tifa's measurements are 92-60-88 cm (37-24-35 inches) with a bust size of 32DDD. Canonically she is considered to be quite cute and her appearance has been used to draw in costumers throughout various job.

HISTORY

Please note that anything marked with a ** is headcanon. I will use this sparingly and only when canon lacks details. Weaknesses are combined with Abilities for those looking to get a leg up.

Final Fantasy VII spans across several stories and mediums with the main focus being on the original game, Advent Children, and the Remake. In the order of continuity, it consists of Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII Remake Trace of Two Pasts (which I'll link a summary to later), Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children, and Dirge of Cerebus. The Final Fantasy VIIR isn't a remake so much as time shenanigans and doesn't actually replace the original game. A link to Tifa's specific history is here.

Tifa is from the planet Gaia. She's born in Nibelheim and will be there until the age of 15 after which she moves to Sector 7 where Tifa will be taken if we're going precanon. Edge will play a bigger role from Final Fantasy VII onward.

Special elements of Final Fantasy VII include the existence of mako, the Lifestream, and SOLDIER, among other things. More information can be found under previous links.

MEDICAL

After being attacked by Sephiroth at 15, Tifa has to undergo several procedures and takes several months to heal. However, there are no remaining signs of this, and she's back to perfect health. Thanks to skin grafting, she's also scar-free.

PERSONALITY

TDLR; kind, uncertain, hardworking, self-sufficient, easily swept along

First impressions paint Tifa as a strong woman with a rough background. She's a bartender on the wrong side of life's tracks, a place where the desolate and downtrodden often gather. This environment has strengthened her in a way only experience can and has given her independence. This can be seen in many ways: her ability to run the bar, her membership in the anti-Shinra faction known as Avalanche, and her plan to go against an enemy alone during the Don arc. When running into a problem, Tifa's first instinct is to try and solve it, even if it means reading and learning in order to grow. Her patience is impressive as even if it isn't a problem that can be solved immediately, she'll slowly chip away until the solution is achieved.

In addition to her strength, she's also someone who's able to be both practical and hopeful. Instead of giving up even in difficult situations, she works hard to improve her life. After her hometown is attacked and she nearly dies, Tifa acquires medical bills that take several years to pay off, leaving her living in a storage container and working from day and night to make the necessary payments. Instead of giving up hope or turning to a life at Wall Market, she plans and budgets, staying strong and gaining extra savings since she's able to see a time in which things are better.

It isn't a perfect strength. As a foil to Aerith, Tifa isn't able to express herself in all aspects of her life. Whereas the flower girl is preppy and almost flirty with Cloud, Tifa's not able to confess how she feels toward the spiky-haired hero. It inspires a sort of jealousy and admiration toward Aerith, depending on the situation. In both the remake and the original, it seems that Tifa is impressed with her boldness but has issues when it's expressed toward a man she loves. This can also be seen during her childhood when her friends grew old enough to think of her as a woman. Instead of earnestly expressing her feelings and rejecting them, Tifa feared the hurt rejection would bring them. This created a period of time that has her dancing around their confessions and intentionally misreading their cues.

This inability, to be honest, has even more serious consequences. Throughout the game, Cloud mentions the past and describes the events of Nibelheim (their hometown). However, he wasn't present in the way he claimed, a fact Tifa knows but never challenges. Instead of being honest, she keeps the real events to herself, not able to bring them up even when they're alone. This causes the team to be caught unaware of Cloud's past and allows Sephiroth a more successful attack on Cloud's weakened mind.

Notably, in Advent Children, Tifa is a bit more honest about the domestic desires she harbors toward him.

Additionally, there are moments when she gets swept away in a situation. AVALANCHE is the best example. While she does want to help the planet and has a sincere desire to make things better, Tifa doesn't like the violence that comes with the more drastic solutions. Often, she'll only go on jobs if there is little other choice in spite of her fighting ability. In the original, this much is hinted at but the remake has other members express Tifa's notable hesitation.

There are moments when she makes 'selfish' decisions and chooses a more personal goal over a larger initiative. While this section of the game hasn't made it to the remake as of yet, in the original game, Cloud becomes comatose. Instead of staying with the group and helping save the Planet, she chooses to stay by his side and care for him. If Meteor hits Gaia, the entire planet will be destroyed, but she can't bring herself to leave him behind.

Beneath the strong exterior and unsure interior, she has a nurturing soul. Aside from being the heart of Avalanche, she's often seen being the caretaker of children and adults alike, and Advent Children brings this to the spotlight. She and Cloud 'adopt' two orphan children. In Remake, we see her trying to urge Shinra personnel off a train that's being attacked when most other people who live below the plates think that anyone who works for the company should die Even when she's in a bad situation herself, Tifa urges Barrett to get Marlene help when they first meet. Even as a young girl she taught classes to the elderly and got into a habit of listening to their stories.

Though she may come off as a mature, grounded personality in contrast to Aerith's fun, free attitude, Tifa does enjoy having fun as well. She does think about outfits and wants to look cute for the right occasion. The remake expands her scenes, allowing us to see more of her personality, and we even see Tifa trying to impress Cloud with her bartending skills and mentioning the fact that they should go into town on occasion.

Speech patterns: Tifa's speech leans a bit more polite. In spite of spending a few years in Sector 7, her speech hasn't become rough. Both her tone and wording are friendly though a little reserved when speaking to strangers while not working. Due to having a job in sales, we can relate, she does have a good customer service presence. Once she gets closer to someone, Tifa becomes more prone to a lightly, friendlier, more encouraging tone. This can even happen quickly as it does with Aerith in the remake.

APPEARANCE

Tifa wears her brown hair long enough to reach past her waist. In the original game, her hair splits at the end into two sides to mimic a dolphin's tail though in the remake, she has it sectioned off at the end but avoids the split. In Advent Children, her hair is still long but shorter than in the game. Though her eyes change from red to brown depending on the medium, I choose to stick with her red color. There have been some translation issues, the original Japanese game seems to have her at roughly between 5'5 and 5'6 and her measurements are 92-60-88 cm (37-24-35 inches) with a bust size of 32DDD. Though no weight is given, Tifa is a very slender yet defined woman with a small waist and occasionally visible abs. Notably, in comparison to the other female characters, her arms also have definition.

As with most video game characters, Tifa wears the same outfit for most of the game though it does change with new releases.

ABILITIES

ABILITY Martial Arts

While I will eventually make a page that details her fighting abilities, Tifa is especially strong and fast, serving as a lightning bruiser in the game. It's important to note that while her defense is lower than most other party members, she's still seen surviving many things that would kill a normal human being.

Domestics/Bartending

Tifa was raised in a village with traditional gender roles. With her mother dying at such a younger age, she took over the care of the house even as a child. This has led her to become a proficient cook with an ability to sew as well. Later, she also learns mixology which helps her serve as the bartender for Seventh Heaven.

Research/Reading

Though reading is usually considered more of a hobby than a skill, Tifa has learned many of her skills through reading and memorization. Her master didn't spend a lot of time in the village leaving her to learn much of her fighting style through manuals. Her skills as a bartender have also developed thanks to a personalized mixology book left to her by a prior bartender.

We get to see some of Tifa's childhood home in the original game. Until the Remake catches up with the story, I will consider this the layout for all games. Examples of her home are: outside, entrance, kitchen, kitchen 2, upstairs, parent's room, Tifa's room.

Tifa's current situation is shown in a bit more detail in the Remake. An example of her room can be seen here. The other side basically only consists of a closet, bathroom, and sink.

OVER-SEXUALIZATION/DANGEROUS SEXUAL SITUATIONS FOR WOMEN - Though Tifa isn't directly attacked, there are numerous people who urge her to go to Wall Market to earn her money through sex work including a man who seems a bit more willing to use physical force. In the game proper, we're introduced to Don Corneo who frequently takes 'brides' for short periods of times for sexual purposes. It's made obvious that should a bride change her mind, she's already lost the ability to say no. The women who don't win the audition for given to his men for pleasure.

For context, Tifa can be taken from FFVII, Advent Children, or Remake with varying canon points depending on the meme. In order to have her take part in some memes, such as truth memes, I assume forced compulsion to a certain degree.

I have played both games as well as Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core. I've also and watched the movie. I'm also read FF7 Remake Trace of Two Pasts. However, I'm aware there are a lot of spin-off novels that I haven't read and have no plans to read. This will be reflected in my play.
